Another long-term collaboration. We have been essentially embedded in the Cane and Rural Development unit at Tongaat Huletts since 2012 and have been documenting the rural agricultural development of the Zululand area in relation to sugar cane and food security.
Emil von Maltitz's first project, and one dear to his heart; the Mayeyi are the Namibian counterparts to the well known Mokoro polers - a Botswanan people living within the Okavango Delta and its panhandle. Emil spent time living with the community while researching for a Master's thesis. The images here are part of his time spent living in the Caprivi.
We have recently been involved in a fine art project with the education intervention group, Protec. Limephoto was called on to create eye-catching and artistic images of some of the people who are involved and benefitted from the incredible work that Protec does. This was a project that was a pleasure and a privelage to be a part of.
